Week starting 20th January

Aries

While the final seven days of the Sun's month long visit to your career sector saw some ups and downs, by the time he leaves on Monday and the solar spotlight shifts off your career and professional situation, matters and options, it is with everything needed to look to the future with confidence. While last week saw the Sun confronted first by a Full Moon and then just a few days later by an opposition with Mars, in both cases, this was all about putting your work/life balance to the test. While this is a Full Moon that will always fall at some point during the Sun's month long visit, this time you had Mars pushing home the same message, all during the lunar nodes' first week of their now 18 month policing of how well you know when to keep your work hat on and when to take it off. This has been a chance to put some guardrails in place before moving too far into this new professional year.

Meanwhile, thanks to the Moon's return to your work sector over the weekend just as the South Node had moved into a friendly aspect to the South Node there, the week gets off to a positive start across the income, work and career fronts.

Taurus

Moving into the week with the Moon in your work sector is always going to be an advantage, but this first visit for the year couldn't come with better timing. This will not only put the Moon here, ensuring your instincts are sharp and you are emotionally and intuitively engaged and aware when the Sun returns to your career sector on Monday, but at a friendly aspect to Jupiter in your income sector. This will do more than just get the new working week off to a good start across the income, work and career fronts and instead, sets the scene for the coming month. While this is the Moon's first visit since the South Node left your work sector eight days earlier, not before playing a key role in supporting Pluto's early months in your career sector and Jupiter's early months in your income sector.

That influence and a read on everything needed to keep work and job matters on track is now baked in. This will be further reinforced on Monday and Tuesday, just as the Sun is moving into an alignment with Pluto, the planet of change and transformation.

Gemini

Even before the Moon returns for its first visit to your work sector for the year on Wednesday, the point in each new professional year when things will start to get an early nudge, something powerful is unfolding across the income, work and career fronts. This includes both separately and individually. The week begins with an alignment between Venus and Saturn in your career sector just starting to separate. This is the first of three times they will come together over the next three months, with the resolve to do whatever it takes for as long as it takes to turn your professional desires, hopes and dreams into reality just starting to take hold.

At the same time, a friendly aspect between Mars in your income sector and the asteroid Juno in your work sector is building towards its peak on Tuesday. When the Moon moves through your work sector from Wednesday to Friday it will connect things across the income, work and career fronts, but with Mars and Juno both moving towards a friendly aspect to Venus and Saturn, that is already happening.

Cancer

The year isn't even three weeks old but already, by the time you move into the new working week a lot of water has already passed under the bridge across the income, work and career fronts. A year that began with Mars in your income sector, Mercury in your work sector and the North Node in your career sector has seen them all leave, stripping things right back but with a huge amount of momentum and resources banked. However, what isn't missing are the two planets in your career sector, who are going to keep things on a steady course ahead of new developments next month. It was a day before the North Node left your career sector and just nine days before moving into the new working week that the dwarf planet Eris, the warrior princess of the cosmos turned direct in your career sector.

Still at a standstill but looking to the future and with the North Node's sense of professional direction banked, but both the pressure and urgency gone, there is a chance to take things slowly for now. Meanwhile, you will get a better read on job and career matters when the Moon returns for its first visit to your work sector for the year on Friday.

Leo

By the time the Sun leaves your work sector on Monday, it will have completed a roller coaster seven days that brought a mix of highs and lows but ends on a high. While beginning last week at a friendly aspect to Uranus in your career sector, by Tuesday the Sun was facing pushback from a Full Moon that put how well you know when to keep your work hat on and when to take it off to the test, while over the following days Mars did the same. It wasn't until the weekend and as tensions were dialling back that the Moon returned to your income sector, just as the Sun was moving into a friendly aspect to the South Node there. While the Moon left on Sunday, not before allowing you to move into the new working week with a new sense of confidence and awareness across the income, work and career fronts.

Until he leaves your work sector next Tuesday Mercury will be helping you to work smarter, get your head in the game, ideas on the table and the communication lines open while at the same time supporting Uranus in his last full week in retrograde motion in your career sector.

Virgo

Having the Moon in your income sector is going to do more than just ensure you move into the new working week with a sharp nose for money from the start. It is the timing that makes the Moon's first visit for the year a lot more significant, partly because of its friendly aspect to Jupiter in your career sector on Monday but more importantly, because it comes just as the Sun returns to your work sector. This is the point in each year when the solar spotlight will always shift onto your work situation, matters and options, but it has been 12 years since it was to find Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion in your career sector. With Pluto in the first month of the first full year of his 20 year transit through your work sector and due to align with the Sun in the heart of the working week, this will do more than just get the new working week off to a positive start across the income, work and career fronts.

While the Moon is only here on Monday and Tuesday, it comes as the South Node has just spent the last 18 months baking in a sense of where the money is.

Libra

While last week's Full Moon in your career sector energised things across the income, work and career fronts, this was more a case of the Moon connecting with the planets involved while at the same time dealing with the work/life balance tension its clash with the Sun created. With Mars having then gone on to clash with the Sun, last week may have given you a glimpse of what is happening, but without the emotional fog of war and the planets themselves starting to come together, this week will be the full reveal. The week not only begins with an alignment between Venus and Saturn in your work sector just starting to separate and a friendly aspect between Mars on the career and the asteroid Juno, the queen of commitment in your income sector building towards a peak on Tuesday, but with all four drifting closer. By the end of the week, Venus and Mars will be connected, while Saturn and Juno will draw closer next week.

This tightening alliance across the income, work and career fronts is going to dominate the coming weeks and months.

Scorpio

While things have dialled back after a busy start to the year or should that be a busy end to 2024 running out of ground and escaping into the early days of 2025, it is with enough banked to keep the momentum going but at a more reasonable pace. Mars, who retrograded back out of your career sector just eight days into the year will be back in April for a do over, with a chance first to let what he began since his return in early November play out and the seeds planted to gestate. At the same time, while the North Node left your work sector just over a week ago, it left behind planets that will keep things on track before the pace starts to pick up again next month. By the time you move into the new working week the dwarf planet Eris, the warrior planet of the cosmos has only been in direct motion for nine days and still at a standstill and knowing the major developments on the job front over the coming months, is calling for a slow, steady but confident approach.

Sagittarius

While the Moon left your career sector on Sunday and this was always going to be an advantage, this will go beyond simply a chance to move into the new working week with your professional instincts and imagination fuelled while emotionally and intuitively engaged and aware from the start. This was both the Moon's first visit to your career sector for the year and since the South Node returned a week earlier, but this also put the Moon at a friendly aspect to the Sun in his final days in your income sector and to Uranus, just as he moves into his last full week in retrograde motion in your work sector. While the Sun will leave your income sector on Monday, Mercury will stay on for another week giving you the smart head for money needed to put things on the right track while also connecting with Uranus and the South Node before leaving. A positive start to the week across the income, work and career fronts will get even better as the week progresses, with Mercury moving into a friendly aspect to Uranus on Friday and to the South Node over the weekend.

Capricorn

Moving into the new week with the Moon in your career sector is always an advantage, but this first visit for the year is doing more than just ensuring your professional instincts are sharp and you are emotionally and intuitively engaged and aware from the start. The Moon not only begins the week at a friendly aspect to Jupiter in your work sector but is here when the Sun returns to your income sector on Monday. This first visit since the South Node left your career sector just over a week ago, is also linking into the pathways it had spent much of last year creating between it, Pluto in your income sector and Jupiter in your work sector. The Moon will be gone by Wednesday, but with the Sun here for the next month and Jupiter two weeks away from turning direct and from taking the brakes off work and job matters, this will do more than just get the new working week off to a positive start across the income, work and career fronts.

Aquarius

Even before the Moon returns for its first visit to your career sector for the year on Wednesday, something that in the heart of the working week is going to kick off a positive few days across the income, work and career fronts, something special is already developing. Until now, all the individual parts were developing separately, including an alignment with Venus and Saturn in your income sector that peaked over the weekend and a friendly aspect between Mars in your work sector and the asteroid Juno in your career sector that is building towards a peak on Tuesday. This will be just starting to separate when the Moon returns to your career sector, something that will sharpen your professional instincts as the planets continue to move into position, with Mars moving back towards a friendly aspect to Venus in your income sector that will peak over the weekend and Juno set to do the same next week. Where the Moon will briefly bring things together across the income, work and career fronts from Wednesday to Friday, the planets there are becoming an ever tighter unit.

Pisces

It is less that 2025 got off to a busy start and more that 2024 ran out of road and overshot into the early days of the New Year. Mars, who had returned for what is normally a six week visit to your work sector in early November didn't leave until 6th January, two months later. It was two days later that over two months after returning for what is normally a 14 to 15 day visit to your career sector Mercury also left. This has left your two professional houses empty, but with Mars only gone for three months before returning in April, this is more a chance to let things settle and play out.

Where the Moon's first visit to your work sector for the year gave you a chance to check in on work and job matters last week, it is not until it returns for its first visit to your career sector for the year on Friday that you will have a chance to check in, regroup and process the past few months, that you will be ready to draw a new line in the sand. It is over the weekend that a lot of things will fall into place.
