Aries
Within moments of stepping into July and into the second half of the year, there will be a noticeable shift from the first half. Yet this isn't down to anything that might occur in the early hours of the new month but instead to what occurred during the final 48 hours of last month. It began on 29th June, when after a six week war on income roadblocks and barriers, whether real or imagined, Mars left your income sector and returned to your communication sector, where a new war on communication roadblocks and barriers is being waged.
Not leaving until 11th August, Mars is here for the whole of July.
Meanwhile, the biggest shift and the most significant event of the year took place in the very final hours of June and is something you are still getting a feel for when you move into the new month. It was on 30th June that Jupiter left your home and family sector, where for the last 12 months this has put a huge amount of focus on things close to home.
With the Sun here until 23rd July and Mercury having turned retrograde here on 30th June, this will continue to be the case. However, not to the same overarching degree and with Jupiter, the largest and most powerful planet in the solar system having moved on.
Instead, on 1st July Jupiter is settling into his first full day in a playful and creative part of your chart and of a big year for matters of the heart and all things fun, playful, romantic and creative that will continue through to July 2027.
With Venus here until 10th July, with the planet of love's input and with the laws of attraction and the element of luck coming together here for the first time in over a decade. The Sun's return on 23rd July will put even more light on this, while this will see Venus move on to begin the first planetary activity on the job front this year, with her return to your work sector on 10th July able to piggyback off the momentum from the Full Moon in your career sector at the end of last month.
Taurus
There was a lot of movement in the final 48 hours of June and in the early hours of the month you will be just starting to untangle it all and get a feel for what was a last minute rush for things to get into the position that they will maintain. That is especially so for Mars, Mercury and Jupiter, whose actions in the final 48 hours of June mean that where they begin the month is where they will end the month as well. It began with Mars, who after six weeks in Taurus left, though not before the launch of a new two year Mars cycle was able to piggyback off the launch of your new solar year.
By the time you move into the new month, Mars has been in your income sector for less than 48 hours and not leaving until 11th August, his six week war on income roadblocks and barriers, whether real or imagined is just starting to power up. This will gain some serious momentum when on 5th/6th July Mars moves into a friendly aspect to Pluto in your career sector, bringing the planets of war and revolution together to fire up both your financial and professional motivation and fighting spirit. Meanwhile, it was on 30th June and less than 24 hours before moving into the new month that two events happened that will shape the second half of the year.
The first was Mercury retrograde turn in your communication sector, something that instead of moving quickly through, will keep the planet of communication here until August, while keeping the momentum going after Jupiter left just a few hours later. With Mercury in retrograde motion until 24th July, this will allow Mercury to focus on giving the past and unsaid words a voice, while until leaving on 23rd July, the Sun will keep an eye on the future. Meanwhile, 1st July is Jupiter's first full day in your home and family sector and day one of your biggest year for home, family and/or property matters in over a decade.
Gemini
From the start, there is change in the air and a clear sense that you aren't just moving into a new month, but the second and very different half of the year. Normally, apart from the date on the calendar changing, as one month ends and another begins nothing else changes, with the planets in the same place that they were 24 hours earlier. However, this time, that is not necessarily the case and especially for the largest and most powerful planet in the solar system, with another shift set to be personally significant.
The shift began on 29th June, less than 48 hours before moving into the new month.
It is then that eight days after the Sun left Gemini, bringing your birthday month to a close and handing the reins to the planets that here for the long haul, will quietly keep things on track, that Mars' return changed everything. Your birthday month might have ended, but Mars has returned to begin a new two year Mars cycle, making it clear that you haven't even begun to explore all your options, while having returned to spend the next six weeks fuelling your passions, drive, warrior and competitive spirit, while looking for something to channel this into.
It was a day later that two events happened, the second with implications for the rest of this year and the first half of next year.
It began with Mercury's retrograde turn in your income sector, something that in the final hours of Jupiter's 12 month push for income growth and expansion put the brakes on, but in order to spend until 24th July going back over old ground to ensure no untapped income potential is overlooked. This saw Jupiter move on and as you move into the new month, on 1st July, he will be settling into his first full day in your communication sector and of what he will be working to make a powerful year for all aspects of communication.
With Venus here until 10th July, this will give her mission to give your heart and your relationships a voice a significant boost, before she turns her focus onto things close to home.
Cancer
Because the Sun will always spend the first three weeks of July in Cancer, whether since his return on the June solstice you have already had your birthday month or it is still to come, this is your birthday month and the launch of a new solar year. However, as you move into the new month and into the second half of the year, there are likely to be some mixed feelings or messages. On the one hand, with Jupiter having left Cancer on 30th June and the foundation year of a new 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion having just ended, there will be a sense that a major new line in the sand has been drawn.
With the Sun not leaving until 23rd July but Jupiter gone, there will be a strong pull towards the future and the journey ahead. Yet at the same time, as 1st July is Mercury's first full day in retrograde motion in Cancer and as he has had to come to a standstill, there will be a strong pull towards both the past and to stand still and stay in the moment. As there could still be some strong emotional responses as a result of a Full Moon on 30th June, this is a chance to stay in the moment while making the most of a chance to pause as you both look back and to the future.
Meanwhile, 1st July is also Jupiter's first full day in your income sector and day one of your biggest year for income growth and expansion in over a decade. Until leaving on 10th July, it is with the benefit of having Venus here and with the laws of attraction and the element of luck in play. It is in between Venus' departure on 10th July and the Sun's return on 23rd July that the Moon's return from 15th July to 17th July will give you an early read on Jupiter's influence.
Meanwhile, this will see Venus move on to begin the first planetary activity in your communication sector this year.
Leo
While the Sun won't return to Leo to begin your birthday month and new solar year until 23rd August, from the moment you move into the new month there will be a sense that the future is already here. It began last month, when six weeks before the Sun is due to return and something that is so early in the year that this will eventually cause her to turn retrograde, Venus returned to give your heart a voice and a say in what you want from the coming year. Last year Venus didn't return until after your birthday month was over and your new solar year was already locked in.
This year, Venus is making sure that doesn't happen. Not leaving until 10th July, Venus will continue to have an influence and especially on the early days of what is a major new chapter. It was on 30th June and less than 24 hours before moving into the new month that Jupiter, the planet of luck and expansion returned to spend the next 13 months in Leo.
This makes 1st July the first full day of a new 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion and until leaving in July 2027, the first full day of a year full of major new opportunities and the opening of major new doors.
However, your current solar year still has over three weeks to run, with the Sun not leaving a nostalgic trip down memory lane and returning to Leo until 23rd July, while 1st July is Mercury's first full day in retrograde motion here. While new doors are opening, the doors will also remain open to the past.
Meanwhile, when Venus leaves Leo on 10th July, it will be to return to your income sector to begin the most lucrative months of 2026. As Mars only left your career sector on 29th June and a Full Moon in your work sector on 30th June won't run its course until 2nd July, there will be plenty of professional momentum for Venus to exploit.
Virgo
In the final 48 hours of June, we saw almost as many cosmic shifts as we will see in the whole of July and definitely the most significant. Within the space of just 48 hours Mars and Jupiter, two planets with a major influence, were both on the move, yet both will be staying put through July and Mercury, who normally moves every 14 to 15 days, is staying put all month. Adding to a potentially intense end to June was a Full Moon, while the next Full Moon won't be until 30th July, with the chaos at the end of last month replaced by relative stability.
Yet those changes are set to have a major impact on the coming month and beyond. The first of those changes happened when on 29th June, Mars left your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery and returned to your career sector. Mars left behind just a skeleton crew and while the Full Moon in a playful and creative part of your chart on 30th June gave this a boost, it will have run its course by 2nd July.
While this has given the playful, creative and adventurous side of life's fence a boost, this will soon be replaced by what is set to be a busy and vibrant month on the job and career fronts.
Meanwhile, the biggest shift happened in the very final hours of June, when after 12 months Jupiter, the largest and most powerful planet in the solar system left your sector of friendship, teamwork and networking and returned to a nostalgic and reflective part of your chart, where for the next 13 months he will bring your current 12 year Jupiter cycle of expansion home and prepare for his return to Virgo in July 2027. At the same time, while the Sun will stay on and this will keep the solar spotlight on your social life, friendships, team and networking until 23rd July, Mercury's retrograde turn on 30th June will keep him here all month.
In the meantime, while you will have to wait until later next month for the Sun to return to Virgo to begin your birthday month and new solar year, Venus' return on 10th July will be a chance to start opening new doors.
Libra
As you move into the new month, there is a need to let the dust settle and for time to adjust to the major shifts that happened in the final 48 hours of June to sink in. Within the space of just 48 hours, Mars and Jupiter were both on the move, Mercury turned retrograde and there was a Full Moon, packing into just two days more significant events than will be experienced in the whole of July. However, this was also a last minute push to get things into position before moving into not just the new month and the second half of the year, but a second half that because of those events, is going to look very different from the first.
The first of those events was on 29th June, when after six weeks fuelling your financial passions and fighting spirit, Mars left your financial sector and money matters in the hands of a skeleton crew that will quietly keep things on track. This saw Mars return to your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery for the first time in two years and not leaving until 11th July, he will spend the whole of July fuelling a passion for adventure. Mars returned eight days after the Sun left, giving him something to piggyback off.
Meanwhile, the Sun had returned to your career sector and as always, will spend the first three weeks of July with the solar spotlight on your career and professional situation, matters and options.
This puts the Sun here, when on 30th June first Mercury turned retrograde and then a few hours later Jupiter left, ending his 12 month quest for professional growth and expansion. Mercury's retrograde turn will have the effect of putting on the brakes, while keeping him here for the rest of the month.
With Jupiter gone and Mercury in retrograde motion, at the start of the month it might feel as though you have hit a brick wall, but it is an attempt to slow things down as you change gear. Your career sector will remain active for the rest of the year, but with Mars in an adventurous part of your chart all month and Jupiter gone, without the same demands. Meanwhile, Jupiter has returned to power things up on the social, friendship, team and networking front.
Scorpio
This is a month where from the start, the word 'balance' needs to be stuck on the bathroom mirror or with sticky notes where you can constantly be reminded, for this will be the major theme this month. While Jupiter left your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery on 30th June, ending a 12 month push to empower this side of life's fence, with the Sun here until 23rd July, Mercury in retrograde motion here until 24th July but not leaving until next month, just as Mars will be returning to power things up all over again, there will be no drop off.
At the same time, until the North Node leaves a playful and creative part of your chart on 27th July, you will have all the resources needed to put guardrails in place when it comes to a balance between work and play.
However, not just because you want or need to keep the playful, creative and adventurous side of life's fence alive. Instead, 1st July is not just Jupiter's first full day in your career sector and of a 13 month quest for professional growth and expansion, but from the start there are planets on the other side of the sky in your home and family sector that will be standing guard, ready to monitor your work/life balance.
This will be compounded when, for the first time in 18 months, on 27th June the lunar nodes will be on the move, with the South Node returning to your career sector and the North Node to your home and family sector.
For the next 18 months, the lunar nodes will be policing your work/life balance as well. However, only because there is something worthwhile to balance. This is the start of one of your most exciting professional years in over a decade, with built in support from the planets in your work sector from the start.
Yet also a month and a coming year when life itself is rich with diversity as well.
Sagittarius
While there was a lot of movement in the final 48 hours of June, it was like players on a stage rushing to get into position and find their mark before the curtain lifts and the show can begin. In that case, showtime is 1st July, which is the first full day of a new month, of the second half of 2026 and the start of one of your most exciting years in over a decade. It was on 30th June and in the closing hours of June that Jupiter left your financial sector, just as Mercury's retrograde turn locked him into position and ensured you would have access to his smart head for money right through to when he leaves on 11th August.
By then Mercury, who will normally move through in just 14 to 15 days, will have been here for over two months, including the final weeks of Jupiter's 12 month quest for financial growth and expansion, throughout the Sun's month long visit that will end on 23rd July and in time to prepare for Mars' return next month. Meanwhile, 1st July is Jupiter's first full day in your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery and this will have huge implications. Jupiter isn't just the planet of luck and expansion and as the largest and most powerful planet in the solar system, wherever he leans, everything else will follow.
As well as that, Jupiter is not just your ruling planet, but he is the ruler of your sector of adventure, travel, learning and discovery, making this the area of your chart where he is most at home. At the same time, from the start and right through to when he leaves in July 2027, Jupiter will have the support of the three planets in a playful and creative part of your chart that are here for the long haul. By the time you move into the new month Jupiter has been here for less than 24 hours, but this is the start of a major powering up of the playful, creative and adventurous side of life's fence that will impact the rest of this year and the first half of next year.
Capricorn
The month not only begins with the Moon in Capricorn, but until it leaves on 2nd July, it is bringing home a Full Moon that on 30th July may have created some intensity on both the personal and relationship fronts. This is a Full Moon that will always fall at some point during the Sun's month long transit through your relationship sector and always at the halfway point in your current solar year. Halfway between your last birthday month and the next, at a point in the year when it is all about your relationships and no focus on your own needs and priorities, this is a Full Moon that will see the two clash.
This can create tension between your own and your relationship needs, but in the process makes them more transparent. For you, at the halfway point in your current solar year, this can be empowering and a chance for a personal reset. At the same time, while the Sun is in your relationship sector until 23rd July, the Full Moon peaked on the same day that Jupiter left, with a chance to end your biggest relationship year in over a decade more aware of what you want from your relationships and what they need from you.
At the same time, it was Mercury's retrograde turn in your relationship sector on 30th June that will both keep the planet of communication here all month and allow him to focus on giving the past and unsaid words a voice.
Meanwhile, 1st July is Jupiter's first full day in your financial sector and of your biggest year for financial growth and expansion in over a decade, with Venus here until 10th July to help with a smooth transition. This has also brought the laws of attraction and the element of luck together.
Meanwhile, this wasn't the only move at the end of last month, with Mars having returned to your work sector on 29th June to breathe new life into not just work and job matters, but to exploit untapped income potential.
Aquarius
Because there were some major shifts in the final 48 hours of June, as you move into the new month there will be a chance to pause and readjust your focus as you enter what will be a very different second half of the year to the first. These changes have included a lot more importance on a balance between work and play and on your relationships. It began on 29th June, when eight days after the Sun not only left a playful and creative part of your chart but returned to your busy work sector to support Jupiter in his final weeks, Mars returned.
It has been two years since Mars was last in a playful and creative part of your chart and until leaving on 11th August, he will continue to not only fire up your romantic and creative passions and fighting spirit but will be ready to declare war on any attempts to make life all work and no play. That was made a little easier when on 30th June, Jupiter left your work sector, ending his 12 month quest for job growth and expansion, but handing the reins to the Sun and Mercury, who will keep the momentum going. However, without the largest and most powerful planet in the solar system to compete with, Mars' mission is doable.
At the same time on 1st July, Jupiter is settling into his first full day in your relationship sector and into what will be his home until July 2027. This is the start of your biggest and most important year for all your relationships in over a decade and with Venus, the planet of love here to guide the way until she leaves on 10th July. This includes leading the way into a partnership with the three planets in your communication sector, two of which she has already formed a friendly aspect to, before connecting with the dwarf planet Eris there on 5th/6th July.
These are planets that will be there to support Jupiter throughout the journey ahead.
Pisces
The biggest problem or challenge that you have moving into not just the new month but the second half of the year is that all of a sudden, a balance between work and play isn't a luxury or even a choice, but a new reality. Not because there are challenges and instead the very opposite, with both sides of life's fence powering and opening up at the same time. When after 12 and a half months, Jupiter left a playful and creative part of your chart on 30th June, he not only left the Sun behind, but just as instead of leaving, Mercury turned retrograde here.
Normally moving through in just 14 to 15 days, this will keep Mercury here for the rest of the month and by the time he eventually leaves next month, he will have been here for over two months. By then Mars will be returning for his first visit in two years and instead of moving through in six weeks, he won't leave until November, by which time Venus will be in an adventurous part of your chart. Between them, Venus and Mars will continue to fire things up on the playful, creative and adventurous side of life's fence through to the end of the year and into the early months of 2027.
Rather than dial back, this side of life's fence will continue to thrive and expand. However, it comes just as on 1st July, Jupiter is settling into his first full day in your work sector and of the start of what will be your biggest year for job growth and expansion in over a decade. Venus is already here and until leaving on 10th July, she is working with the three planets in your income sector to attract both job potential and the money.
Those same three planets will remain in your income sector throughout the 13 months Jupiter will be in your work sector. Both sides of life's fence are powering up and it is going to stay that way.
